Higher levels survive scratches, dirt and logos better, but make the code denser. Medium suits most uses; choose High for logos or outdoor print.

    How email QR codes work

The code contains a standard mailto: link. When scanned, the phone opens its default email app with the fields you entered. Nothing is sent until the person scanning chooses to send it, and they can edit everything first.

    Good uses

    • Support and feedback: put a code on a product or receipt with a subject like “Order help”, so messages arrive pre-sorted.
    • Requests and sign-ups: a code on a flyer can prepare a message such as “Please send me the brochure”.
    • Reporting issues: facilities teams can label rooms or machines so reports already include the location in the subject.

    Keep the message short

Every character of the subject and message is stored in the code, and spaces and punctuation are encoded, which takes extra room. A short subject plus one sentence keeps the code simple to scan. If you need a long form, link to a web form with a URL QR code instead.
